Hello, I’m Dr. Seymour Weaver and I’m truly glad you’re here.
As a board-certified dermatologist with over 40 years of clinical experience and more than 150,000 patients cared for, I’ve dedicated my life to helping people achieve healthier skin, especially when it comes to hyperpigmentation and skin discoloration in Skin of Color and Skin Changes due to Aging, the Environment, Sun Damage, and Genetics.
Throughout my career, I observed a recurring challenge: many individuals, particularly African Americans and those with richly pigmented skin, experience a greater impact from excess melanin triggered by inflammation or irritation. While melanin provides protection against sun damage, it also increases the risk of dark spots and uneven skin tone after skin trauma.
Individuals with less melanin protection are especially prone to developing fine lines, deeper wrinkles, changes in skin texture, brown spots, and red spots that can take a toll — impacting self-confidence and self-esteem as well.
Helping someone feel better about their skin is more than just treating a condition; it's about restoring confidence, self-esteem, and joy.
While diagnosing and treating skin diseases is my primary activity, I also have a background in chemistry, which led to my interest in analyzing and formulating skin care products.
